ATP Cup

3 January – 8 January 2020

The ATP Cup is a new men’s team competition featuring 24 of the world’s top nations competing in Australia over two weeks in January, with group stages to be held across Brisbane, Sydney and Perth. Brisbane will host two groups of four teams from January 3 to 8. Each group winner will progress to Sydney for the ATP Cup finals. The ATP Cup offers prize money and ranking points second only in size to the Grand Slams.

Brisbane International 

6 January – 12 January 2020

In 2020, the Brisbane International, now a women’s only tournament, joins the men’s ATP Cup in bringing 10 days of electric tennis action to the Queensland Tennis Centre. Headlined by Brisbane’s own world No.1 Ash Barty and Japan’s Naomi Osaka, the tournament boasts one of the strongest fields in the world as players prepare for the Australian Open.

Australian Youth Water Polo Championships

11 January – 23 January 2020

More than 3,000 participants, from over 175 teams, across five venues over two weeks… the biggest water polo event in Australia returns for the second installment in January 2020! After a successful inaugural Australian Youth Water Polo Championships the event is back for another year in Brisbane, Queensland. Locations include Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Valley Pool, All Hallows, Sommerville House, and Stuartholme.

T20 World Cup Women’s Preparation Hub: Australia versus West Indies

15 February 2020

The ICC T20 World Cup is the flagship international T20 tournament. 2020 marks Australia’s first opportunity to host the T20 World Cup and the first time T20 cricket’s global showpiece women’s and men’s tournaments will be played as standalone events in the same host country in the same year.

Allan Border Field will host five warm-up matches ahead of the tournament. In this match up, reigning champions Australia take on the West Indies.

Cycling Australia Track National Champions

Brisbane will host the Track National Championships in Brisbane at the Anna Meares Velodrome until 2021 firmly establishing Brisbane as the home of track cycling.  The Track National Championships are the biggest domestic track event in the country, where national champions are crowned. Take a ride to the Anna Meares Velodrome to see some of the nation’s best riders in action and take part in Brisbane’s celebration of cycling.

Six Day Cycling Brisbane Final

Tour De Brisbane

The Tour de Brisbane is set to showcase Brisbane as an international cycling destination to anyone on a bike, from elite riders, to weekend warriors, to families and kids. The event is headlined by the UCI Gran Fondo World Series which is part of the internationally sanctioned series held all over the world.

The purpose is to raise funds for the Ride for a Metre Matters campaign to promote safe cycling in the city through our partnership with the Amy Gillett Foundation.
